I brought cod and chips last night, it was the worse Ive ever tried, I could not eat any, it was badly over cooked so when cut into it there was no edible fish, I took a photo but cannot upload it on this site, it was like rubber to cut, and so dried up that could not be recognised as fish.The chips were ok, but a lot of money for a bag of chips. Will never go back there.
So yummy, really polite people and will take on any weird requests - battered halloumi is spot on!
Stayed in Halstead for a long week end and went in the chippy twice, once just for chips and once for fish and chips, both times they were cooked fresh, and very very good.
