I thought the staff were friendly, good service. Would recommend it
Outstanding service by Lauren & her team. I challenge anyone to find a friendlier more responsive hostess than Lauren. We were overwhelmed & speechless by the helpful & welcoming bar lady/waitress (Lauren) when my elderly mother & I visited for lunch this afternoon. Food & drinks were superb. It makes SUCH a difference to be served by friendly, cheerful staff.
For 43 I couldn't give any less than full marks the breakfast which is included is worth at least 12 for 2 people which means your paying 31 For a comfortable bed, shower, tv, tea and coffee, in a warm room for the night. I have seen some people moaning about small room, tired decor, wonky floors ( it's seen a couple of 100 years ) they could always go to the Hilton and pay 200 quid for the level floors.
We stayed here after booking the xmas package which was great value for money. We had a very relaxing time and cannot fault the staff. The service on xmas day was a little slow but the staff were working hard to ensure all the guests had a great time. This is the second time we have stayed here and we plan to go back. Give it a try
An historic place to stay, we were told it was 14th century and with lovely exposed black beams and leaning walls it was genuine. Decent parking are out back. The food is good and the service polite and attentive. Our room was comfortable and reasonably priced. I would gladly return.
