A very good pub friendly staff with good food and beers
Why did it take so long for me to try this pub. It was because on the outside it didn't appeal to me at all. Dingy n dark.Then one Sunday we tried it out after seeing reviews on here. We were taken aback by everything inside, bar staff were very helpful and courteous, the drinks well poured and mixed then the meals came along and were absolutely delicious.The price is average but well worth every penny plus more considering all the above.This will be a regular thing now I'm sure.

Very friendly pub.. great selection of guest ales ..good atmosphere.. prices are what you would expect for most pubs nowadays but none the less still very good..
Awesome pub. My second favorite place in Halstead (after the bull) because of the beer garden, there isn't one, it's a few chairs next to the car park. Food is actually pretty good and affordable. It's got a great vide with old wooden beams and a simplistic look, I wish they would ditch the fruit machine however. But overall a decent pub for a few.
